Amsterdam take 1

I have an implicit agreement with two of my friends that we'll visit each other in the city where one goes on an exchange program as part of our university degree. Vanja went to Prague, so I went to visit her there and now my friend Sidsel is in Amsterdam. So, some weeks ago Vanja and I went to visit her there.

I had an amazing time in the company of two fantastic friends and enjoyed strolling around the streets of Amsterdam catching up, joking around and experiencing the city, which seems so liveable!

Although I'm not going on an exchange Sidsel and Vanja will visit me in Boston, where I'll move to in two weeks. Very exciting!

Århus and Maja - Day 1

One of my dearest friends, Maja, lives in Århus. I don't get to see her that often, which is why I hope she'll move to Copenhagen when she starts her Master's.

I visited her not so long ago and it's always great.
We spent the first part of the day strolling around Århus, catching up and talking about everything under the sun. After some time we went to her place, where we continued the talking in the company of tea and good music. Even later we ate sushi, drank sherry and listened to Leonard Cohen.

The evening ended at the student's house in Århus where we drank beer and watched the football match Denmark-Cameroon with some of Maja friends. It was so much fun, and we kept yelling the whole evening like we knew it.

The unexpected in the expected

One of my favourite things is going for an evening walk with Rob. Although I know what to expect from such a walk, I am always met with something unexpected. It could be an unexpected sight, summer smell, kiss or thought.

I cherish these walks, because they always seem to wash away the trails of the day and make new ground to walk on.

On another note, my friend came over the other day, as expected, but with her she brought flowers for me, unexpected. Those flowers made me smile every morning, as I looked at them while eating breakfast. A perfect way to wake up.

Det er lidt af en mission at få fremkaldt billeder fra film her i København - mest af alt fordi det er virkelig dyrt. For nogle dage siden fandt jeg et sted, der var forholdsvist billigt, hvor jeg fik mine billeder fremkaldt. Men billigt er ikke altid godt, og da jeg fik mine billeder igen, havde de alle et orange skær. Så jeg bliver nødt til at få dem fremkaldt igen. I mellemtiden vil jeg i stedet dele nogle flere digitale billeder med jer.

It's a bit of a mission getting pictures developed from film here in Copenhagen - mainly because it's really expensive. Some days ago i found a relatively cheap place and got a roll of film developed. But cheap isn't always good, and when I got my pictures they all had an orange glow. So I have to get the roll developed again. In the meantime I'll share some more digital photos with you.
