Out Sailing

These photos are from a sailing trip up Odense Å on my mum's partner's boat. The occasion was the celebration of both my and my mum's birthday, but really it was mostly about spending time together.
For the short moment that I was steering the boat I felt like a true adventurer; such a wonderful feeling. But the whole day was great and filled with little special moments. My sister and I ended the day by falling asleep in a rubber boat that was tied to the back of the boat, letting the waves rock us to sleep.

Here are some photos of my amazing mum and a friend of hers.
My mum and younger sister live in Odense. We've always moved a lot so for me home is defined by people not by places. Everytime I visit them, no matter where they live, I feel like I'm home. It's a great feeling. I wish I could visit them more, but unfortunately the train ride is really expensive.

Poland

Poland occupies a special place in my life. My ex-stepfather Ole lives there with his wife Iwona, and my brother and I went to visit them once or twice a year during the latter part of my childhood.

We always did crazy things when we visited and Ole liked testing our limits. But I like that. If you don't test your limits, how do you know where they end?

I hadn't been back for a few years so it was quite special when my brother and I went back a few weeks with our partners. We'll go back again soon. Here are some photos of the place where Ole and Iwona live.

Det er lidt af en mission at få fremkaldt billeder fra film her i København - mest af alt fordi det er virkelig dyrt. For nogle dage siden fandt jeg et sted, der var forholdsvist billigt, hvor jeg fik mine billeder fremkaldt. Men billigt er ikke altid godt, og da jeg fik mine billeder igen, havde de alle et orange skær. Så jeg bliver nødt til at få dem fremkaldt igen. I mellemtiden vil jeg i stedet dele nogle flere digitale billeder med jer.

It's a bit of a mission getting pictures developed from film here in Copenhagen - mainly because it's really expensive. Some days ago i found a relatively cheap place and got a roll of film developed. But cheap isn't always good, and when I got my pictures they all had an orange glow. So I have to get the roll developed again. In the meantime I'll share some more digital photos with you.

I år (eller sidste år) besluttede min familie og jeg os for, at i stedet for at give hinanden julegaver ville vi købe en rejse til Norge og fejre jul hos min moster, som bor i Oslo. Oslo er en virkelig dejlig by, især når den er dækket af sne. Det er den første hvide jul jeg har haft i, ja, jeg ved ikke hvor længe.

This year my family and I decided that instead of buying each other Christmas presents we would spend our money on travelling to Norway to celebrate Christmas with my aunty in Oslo. Oslo is a really cosy city, especially when under a blanket of snow. It's the first white Christmas I've had in the longest time.

Så meget som jeg elsker det hvide vinterlandskab, savner jeg ofte noget farve i miljøet omkring mig. Derfor bliver mit første indlæg en række mere eller mindre farverige billeder jeg har taget de sidste par måneder.
